01
Lisa's Story
Lisa M. Clark is a Licensed Massage Therapist with 19 years of clinical experience, building a career around understanding the head, neck, jaw, fascia and upper body as one connected system. Her work combines advanced manual therapy with an intuitive, highly individualized approach.
02
Why Head, Neck + Jaw
The jaw, neck and upper body interact more than many people realize. Because muscular, fascial, postural and movement patterns are connected, Lisa's work looks beyond a single painful spot. This focus makes her a specialized resource for people who have been living with persistent tension and are unsure where care should begin.
03
Intra-Oral Training
Lisa holds a Washington State endorsement in intra-oral massage, earned in 2014. This specialized credential allows her to incorporate techniques for muscles within and surrounding the jaw that can be difficult to access through external massage alone, supporting clients experiencing TMJ/TMD and other jaw-related tension.
04
Understanding Fascia
Lisa describes herself as a Fascia Decompression Specialist. Fascia is a continuous network of connective tissue surrounding and connecting muscles, allowing different areas of the body to move in relationship with one another. Her work uses gentle techniques intended to lift and decompress restricted tissue, create space and support healthier movement.
05
Her Integrated Approach
Rather than focusing only on the location of discomfort, Lisa considers muscular, fascial, postural and movement patterns throughout the upper body. A session may incorporate intra-oral massage, fascia decompression, anterior neck therapy, gua sha, glass facial cupping, diaphragm and rib release, hot stone therapy, aromatherapy and traditional techniques, depending on what your body needs.
06
How Treatments Are Customized
Lisa does not follow the same routine with every client. Every session is built around your symptoms, comfort, history, movement patterns and how your body responds. Treatment can evolve between visits based on what you are experiencing.
07
Working Alongside Other Healthcare Professionals
Over her career, Lisa has collaborated with and worked alongside neurologists, chiropractors, physical therapists, naturopathic physicians and primary-care providers. Sweet Cheeks provides licensed massage therapy and does not replace physician, dental, physical therapy or emergency care.
08
Her Philosophy of Care
Lisa recognizes that chronic stress and emotional experiences can sometimes occur alongside physical tension. She creates a calm therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, supported and involved in their care, so they can move more freely, feel less restricted, understand their tension patterns and feel greater comfort between appointments.
09
Inclusive + Compassionate Treatment
Sweet Cheeks is committed to a welcoming, respectful and affirming environment for clients of every race, background, gender and identity. It is a sanctuary of diversity, dignity and acceptance.
